Vintage Country Outdoor Wedding

Beth came to us with a very tight budget and asked us to help her choose flowers that would be in season for her early June wedding. Her bridesmaids were wearing David’s Bridal Gauva which can be a bit tricky to match so we suggested using different hues of the guava along with her dress color of ivory vintage lace. Beth and Adam love the outdoor setting of the Amish Door’s gazebo overlooking the rolling hills of Holmes county or like tourists say, Amish country. Since June is the perfect month for Peony we advised Beth to use them. She loved them and most brides do! They are very pricey out of season but lucky for Beth she choose early June which is prime season. We mixed ivory and coral colored peony with ivory roses and a new rose called Soltaire in the guava color and the large headed Amsterdam rose as well, peach carnations that look amazingly like a mini peony and variegated pittosporum greenery with springrii and seeded eucyptus. Beth really wanted a vintage rustic feel to her outdoor wedding so we arranged the peony, roses and other filler flowers in galvanized buckets to hang on our Sheppard’s hooks lining the aisle. Then we moved these indoors to be used as centerpieces for the tables. We then incorporated touches of lace, lanterns, candles and burlap to really pull her country/vintage wedding together. We loved the century old barn for her photo backdrop.
