New Years Eve marked the day of the beautiful ceremony at the Cornerstone Church in Dalton, Ohio for the very beautiful Kindergarten teacher Erica and her fiance Chad. When we first sat down with Erica she had no problem giving us direction for her wedding flowers. She wasn’t exactly sure what kinds of flowers she wanted but she was sure of her color choices. Erica’s colors were hot pink and black with just the hint of white accent. She was sure she wanted black ostrich feathers in her bouquet but wasn’t exactly sure how to use them. We discussed some different ideas and flower suggestions, and she made her final choices. We love what she picked! We designed some different feather styles into her bouquet and came up with this one as our favorite. Erica loved it too at her preview! We think of her bouquet as fun and sassy with a burlesque feel.
It featured:
Erica was sure she wanted the same types of flowers for her bridesmaids but she wanted to make hers stand out by only using the feathers in her bouquet. We created these hand held bridesmaids bouquets for them. The maid of honor wore a black gown with a hot pink sash and the bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids wore the hot pink gowns with the black sashes accented with the white silk rosette.
Erica wanted to have a very bright and beautiful Unity Candle Arrangement for the ceremony. So we put this one together using the same flowers as her bouquets, stargazers, Kiko & Queen Amazon roses, mini callas, gerbera and lots of different greenery. We don’t like to use just one type of greenery but like to mix it up with at least three or more types to give texture and depth to our work. We are constantly trying to find something new and unique! We added the black artistic wire and ostrich feathers to this to really make it stand out!
After the ceremony it was on to the brand new and absolutely breathtaking Fresco Room at LaPizzeria in Canton. This would be a great place to have your wedding reception Ladies! It really has that Old World Italian feel to it and ultra elegant. Plus it’s very private. You won’t have to worry about another event going on on the other side of the wall! It is its own building and easily accessible. Plus they have these tall black candles with crystals for you to use if you choose. We accented them with a 12×12 inch square of hot pink petals. We used the hot pink Malibu gerbera on the cake.
